Parful Events

Run a charity golf tournament that closes with the numbers in front of you

A charity golf tournament is a fundraiser that happens to include golf. The committee sells foursomes and sponsorships for months, takes donations from people who will never swing a club, runs an auction at dinner and then has to tell the board what the day raised. Parful Events is built around that sequence: sell it, run it, close the books.

For the development director on a spreadsheet and a checkbook, the volunteer chair who inherited the school fundraiser, and the board member who has to report every dollar. Nobody who funds the event needs an account; only the organizer and the committee sign in.

Where the money comes from, and where it lands

Five streams, one event, one total. Everything below is bought by a guest with an email address and lands in the same Money Desk.

Foursomes and spots
Entry packages reserve one to four seats. A buyer pays for four and names two; the empty seats sit on the organizer’s worklist until filled. Dated early-bird tiers step the price up on the day you set.
Sponsorships
Sponsor packages sell from the same page, with zero to four player spots. Each deal is tracked from agreed to paid; the sponsor uploads a logo and names players through their own portal.
Donations
One-tap donations from the people who cannot come, counted toward the published goal on the page.
Add-ons
Mulligans, dinner seats for non-players, raffle tickets. Raffle tickets count as day-of revenue; Parful does not draw the raffle.
Silent auction
Lots with a starting bid, bidders verified by a six-digit email code, bids from phones, opened and closed from the auction tab. Paid event plans only.
Cash and checks
Taken at the desk into a drawer session and recorded against the registration on the spot. A board member who insists on a check is registered by hand.

Selling it: the event page

The organizer writes the story, sets a header image and publishes a fundraising goal; the page shows a raised bar against it and a countdown to the date. Packages, sponsor tiers and the donate button sit underneath. A cap closes the field and a waitlist catches the overflow.

  • Budget plan and expense register before the first dollar is spent
  • Email blasts and scheduled sends to buyers, players and sponsors
  • Sponsorship is a pipeline, not a form: the sponsors and donations page covers it in depth

Event day

The desk finds a player by name or scans the code on their confirmation, shows any unpaid balance and records what is taken. Groups and pairings come from the registrations, the tee sheet prints, and a shotgun start assigns holes.

One player per group scores in the phone browser from a code or link: scramble with the one-ball rule, stroke play, Stableford or best ball. Closest-to-the-pin and long-drive volunteers get their own operator codes, so nobody on a par three needs manager access. The live leaderboard is a public page, and the clubhouse TV rotates results, sponsors and the raised total through dinner.

Fundraising closeout

Results go to every registrant by email. Auction winners are marked paid as they settle, and anything still owed, an unpaid sponsor or a foursome that promised a check, sits on the receivables list with an age, a promise date and a write-off if it comes to that.

The Money Desk is where the fundraiser proves itself: card, cash sessions, checks and deposits reconcile by method, the financial close locks the books, and the closeout report is the document the board reads: revenue by stream, expenses, net proceeds, exportable. Each sponsor gets a recap of what their deal promised and received, plus a printable invoice.

  • Duplicate the event for next year: packages, sponsor tiers, rounds and display settings carry across; registrations and money do not
  • Parful does not issue charitable tax receipts and is not a donor database; export the lists to whatever your organization uses
  • Pay per event at activation, no subscription. A one-day stroke play or scramble event runs free, with any number of players, which is enough to rehearse the whole flow

Charity golf tournament questions

What software handles charity golf tournament registration?

Parful Events gives the tournament a public page where buyers purchase foursomes, single spots, dinner seats and add-ons with a card, as guests, with no account. Incomplete foursomes are normal: the buyer names players later from an emailed link, and the organizer has worklists for the seats still empty. Caps and a waitlist close the field.

Does Parful run a silent auction?

Yes. Lots are listed on the event, bidders verify with a six-digit code sent to their email and bid from their phones, and the organizer opens and closes lots and marks winners paid. Auction sales land in the same totals as registrations and sponsorships. The auction is part of the paid event plans.

How do we know what the tournament actually raised?

From the Money Desk. Card payments, cash sessions, checks and deposits reconcile by method, the expense register sits against the budget, and the closeout report shows revenue by stream, expenses and net proceeds. A financial close locks it, and the report exports for the board.

What does it cost to run a charity golf tournament on Parful?

You pay per event when you activate it, and there is no subscription. A one-day stroke play or scramble event runs free, with any number of players, so a committee can rehearse the full flow before the real event. The pricing page carries the rate card.

Set the tournament up before you sell the first foursome

Build the page, the packages and the sponsor tiers, then open registration. Pay per event when you activate it; a one-day stroke play or scramble event runs free, with any number of players.
