The Saturday outing, from sign-up sheet to close-out

The organizer has 28 members who said they are probably in for Saturday. The job between now and the first tee is the same every month: confirm who is actually playing, turn the list into groups someone would want to play in, get the round scored, and publish results before the group chat writes its own version. This page is that job in Parful.

Create the outing, or duplicate last month’s

An outing is a date, a course and a format. The course brings its real data with it: tee sets, pars, stroke indexes, ratings and slopes, from a database of more than 30,000 courses or from your own custom build. A recurring fixture starts by duplicating the last one, which is how a monthly medal takes two minutes to open instead of an evening.

Members sign themselves up

Open registration and members enter from their phones, with capacity, waitlists and guests handled. The organizer watches the field build instead of maintaining it, and the perennial spreadsheet question, who actually said yes, has one live answer.

From entry list to tee sheet

Groups generate from the real entry list, and you fix by hand the things software cannot know: who travels together, who should not be drawn together. Each player gets a tee, and their playing handicap adjusts to that tee, so a group off three different tees still scores against each other fairly. Tee sheets, player lists and scorecards print from the same screen, and walk-ups can be added on the day.

Score the round from the course

One scorer per group works in the phone browser via QR code, PIN or link, with no app and no accounts. Gross, net and Stableford resolve from the same card, side games like skins and Nassau settle alongside, and the clubhouse board and public leaderboard follow the round while the groups are still out. The organizer sees scoring status per group and can take over a card for a group that is struggling.

Close out once, everything updates

When the last card is in, close out the outing. Winners and prizes resolve, season standings move, statistics record, handicaps revise, and the public results page goes live while people are still at the bar. The next fixture starts by duplicating this one, which is how the season carries itself.

Outing questions

How long does it take to open a recurring outing?

Duplicate the last one, change the date. The course, format and structure carry over.

Can guests and walk-ups play?

Yes. Registration handles guests, and walk-ups can be added on the day.

Do players in one group have to play the same tees?

No, and mixed tees are the normal case. Playing handicaps adjust per tee so the scoring stays fair.

What exactly happens at close-out?

Winners and prizes resolve, season standings move, statistics record, handicaps revise, and the public results page publishes. One action, all of it.
