Parful Clubs

Run a golf trip like a short season

A golf trip is a season compressed into a long weekend: the same players, several courses, a different format every day, side bets in every group and one argument about who actually won. Parful Clubs is built for a recurring group, and a trip is exactly that for four days.

A three-day trip, twelve players

Every combination below is one the engine runs today. The money games sit on the individual-card days, because a scramble or foursomes card belongs to the team.

Before you fly
Create the club, add twelve players with their indexes, set the site to Link-only, create three outings and one order-of-merit standing that counts all three.
Day 1, Stableford
Three fourballs off the whites, Wolf in every group, closest to the pin on the par threes. Close-out at the bar seeds the top four into a singles knockout.
Day 2, net medal
The two semifinals are assigned to this outing and resolved from its cards. Skins runs across the field on a five-dollar wager everyone accepted on the bus.
Day 3, foursomes
Six pairs on a team card, so no individual side games. The knockout final plays as its own match in the last group; the pairs race on the leaderboard.
The dinner
The prize list prints from the Report Center, the standing names the trip champion, and the bracket poster and results live on the club site for the group chat.

How Parful handles it

The group is a club. Every player gets a handicap index on the roster once (typed, imported from your association’s member export, or synced where a handicap service supports it), and Parful works out playing handicaps per course and tee from a database of more than 30,000 courses, with a builder for anywhere it does not.

Each day is an outing: course, date, groups and tee times. An outing has no format of its own; every round computes gross, net and Stableford, and the competition you assign to the day decides the contest. Friday a Stableford, Saturday foursomes, Sunday a medal, without touching the roster.

  • Individual-card competitions: singles stroke play or Stableford, skins, singles and doubles match play
  • Team-card competitions: scramble, four-ball, foursomes, greensomes, Chapman, shamble
  • Tee sheet and scorecards printed from the Report Center; site visibility Public or Link-only

Live scoring and side games

One player per group scores in the phone browser from a QR code, PIN or link. No app, no account. Every hole moves the live leaderboard, and the same board runs on the clubhouse television from the outing’s display link.

Side games are the players’ own. Anyone in the field starts one from the outing page: skins, Nassau, Vegas, Wolf, Rabbit, Snake, Dots and thirty more, counted gross, net or Stableford, with an optional wager that starts only once every player has accepted the terms. Scores come from the official card, so nobody keeps a second tally, and results freeze at close-out.

  • Games that read individual strokes need individual cards: Parful refuses skins or Wolf on a scramble day
  • Stakes carry per-player acceptance and a maximum-loss cap
  • Side games need signed-in members; scoring itself does not

Trip standings

Closing out a round resolves the day’s prizes, the standings, statistics, handicap revisions and the public results page in one step. Set the trip up as a standing before you leave and every closed round feeds it: an order of merit by finishing position, a Stableford league that sums the days, an eclectic across the courses, or your own points table, counting all rounds or only the best ones.

A knockout runs across the trip too: seed a singles bracket from day one, assign each round of matches to the next day’s outing, and the matches resolve from the cards the players already keep. When the trip ends, every round is in each player’s history and the group is still there for next year.

Worth knowing before you plan

  • Up to 8 active members is free with no time limit. Bigger groups start on a 30-day full-access trial, which covers most trips end to end.
  • Team cup weekends (two teams, sessions of fourball, foursomes and singles) are enabled club by club during beta. Ask before you promise the group a cup.
  • Hotels, transfers and dinners are not something Parful collects. Round entries and add-ons can be sold through the club store, which is in beta.
  • Scorers need a signal to post holes. A card can be entered after the round if the course has none.

Golf trip questions

What app should I use for a 16-person golf trip?

One that treats the trip as a group, not a single scorecard. Parful Clubs holds the sixteen players and their handicaps once, gives each day its own outing and format, scores from phones with a live leaderboard, runs the side games from the same card and keeps one standings table across the days. Sixteen is above the free tier of 8, so the trip runs on the 30-day full-access trial.

Can we play a different format every day?

Yes. An outing has no format of its own; the competition you assign to the day decides the contest. Singles stroke play, Stableford, skins and match play use individual cards; scramble, four-ball, foursomes, greensomes and Chapman use a team card. Change it per day without touching the roster.

Can we run skins on the scramble day?

No, and Parful will say so when someone tries. Skins, Wolf, Nassau and the other games that read individual strokes need individual scorecards, and a scramble card belongs to the team. Put the money games on the individual-format days.

Does everyone need to download something?

No. Scoring runs in the phone browser from a QR code, PIN or link, and the leaderboard is a web page. Players who want to start side games or see their own history sign in as members; a scorer does not need an account.
