How Parful works for a single golf event
Everything below is set up for one event and closed out when it is over. There is no roster to maintain afterward and no season to keep running.

Create the event
You start with a name and a date. Parful then asks the questions that decide how the day is scored, because groups, scoring, and results all depend on the answers.
- How people are competing, individually or in teams, and how many per side
- How the competition works, from a single leaderboard to match play or a cup
- Which format, and whether handicaps are used
- How tees are assigned, how big the field is, and where you are playing
What can wait
Field size, course, and tee sets can be set later from event settings. The format questions are answered up front because everything downstream reads from them.

Get people into the field
The event gets a public page. Players and teams register there, or you invite them directly, or you add them yourself. Packages are what people actually buy: a single spot, a foursome, a sponsorship that includes players.

Money, sponsors, and budget
Event money is not just card payments. A charity day takes checks at the door, cash at a raffle table, and pledges that arrive weeks later, and all of it has to reconcile. Parful has a money desk for exactly that.

Build the field and check people in
Once entries are in, you build the tee sheet. Teams can be assembled by hand or built for you from the entry list. On the morning, the check in desk is where the field actually gets confirmed, including the substitutions that always happen.

Run the day
The parts of an event that have nothing to do with golf are usually the parts that go wrong. Parful keeps them in one workspace rather than in somebody’s notebook.

Scoring, however the scores arrive
Scores come in from phones during the round. They also come in on paper at the end, because at a charity scramble they always do. Parful takes both, through a card desk built for entering finished paper scorecards.

What everyone else sees
The public event page is the thing you send out. It carries registration before the day, the schedule and live results during it, and the final results afterward, without you publishing anything separately.

Close it out
When the golf is finished the event is not. There are sponsors to report to, money to settle, and photographs everyone wants. Closeout produces the report, the financial position, and the recap, and then the event is done.

What you do not set up
Events skips the machinery a club needs and an event does not. You are not asked for any of this:
- A member roster to maintain after the event
- Season standings or a points race
- Dues, renewals, or membership status
- An ongoing schedule of fixtures
You set up one event, run it, close it, and that is the end of it. Running a golf event does not require running a golf club inside Parful first.
